What kind of writer are you?

  • A–Dreamer
  • This kind of writer loves to write ABOUT the story. Character sheets, worldbuilding stuff. But never gets to the actual story.
  • B–My Own World
  • This kind of writer loves to LIVE in the world. Lots of little adventures with lots of characters that don’t always equal a full novel.
  • C–Tinkerer
  • This kind of writer is always revising, is never ready to send it out or let people see it. There’s just a little bit more to be done.
  • D–Perfectionist
  • This kind of writer seems to write chapter one a thousand times because they can’t bear to go on until everything is perfect.
  • E–Never Get to the Words
  • This kind of writer is so anxious about getting it wrong that they never get started. Also has been told by others in authority of some kind that they should give up because they’re not meant to be a writer.

Whichever kind of writer you are, I can help you get started and get closer to your finish line.

I'm a national bestselling author, All-American triathlete, Princeton PhD and mother of five amazing kids. And I'm here to teach you how to talk back to the brain that is telling you to quit before you fail. I'm here to up your game as a writer and as a human. I teach skills on writing, but more than that, I teach you how to take risks and write more deeply, more humanly, and to become a better human yourself.
